Location: "Danube Industrial Technology Park - Svishtov" is positioned in the North Central Planning Region of level 2 (NUTS 2), in the urbanized territory of the city of Svishtov, Eastern Industrial Zone.
Scale: Its total area is nearly 308 decares, distributed over 21 plots.
Priority sectors: The terrain is suitable for activities aimed at permanently satisfying public needs of local importance, production, logistics and the high-tech sector. The planned production and economic objectives from various industrial sectors will develop activities in various plots designated for this purpose on the territory of the park.
Borders and transport links/connectivity: The Industrial Technology Park occupies a strategic geographical position, which allows the transportation of all types of goods through a combination of three types of transport:
- Road transport - the southern border of the park is the Republican Road II-52, which is a prerequisite for convenient road connections to Sofia (235 km.), Varna (260 km.), Veliko Tarnovo (80 km.), Ruse (80 km.), Pleven (77 km.).
- River transport - The northern border of the park is entirely outlined by the Danube River. The presence of an international port in the immediate vicinity allows direct access to the Pan-European transport corridor and connection with the countries of Central and Western Europe.
- Rail transport - The park has access to the railway network, offering opportunities for freight and passenger transport, which further optimizes logistics costs and capacity.
Key objectives: Attracting foreign investment, developing new, high-tech activities, supporting entrepreneurship, especially towards the circular economy and implementing innovations.
Specific objectives: Investments in the technical external and internal infrastructure of the industrial park, with an emphasis on improving the investment climate, attracting local and foreign investors, creating new jobs.
Social impact:: Creating new jobs, improving the knowledge and skills of employees in local enterprises, increasing incomes and supporting youth employment in the region. Infrastructure: Modernizing internal and external technical connections to optimize the business climate.
LICENSE NO. L-893-8А/08.04.2026 „Industrial technological park - Svishtov“ EOOD obtained license for distribution of natural gas in a closed gas distribution network (CGDN) within its territory. Thus, it became the first industrial park holding such a license in Bulgaria. The license is valid for 35 years, and the operation of the GDN in the industrial park will enable the transportation and supply of natural gas to the end clients, which will use it as energy source for production and/or for public and residential needs within the territory of the park. Acquiring the license created suitable environment for development of products with higher added value by the enterprises situated there and support the entrepreneur ecosystem, through provision of opportunity for independent supply of natural gas to the consumers.
