Established officially in 2013, Trakia Economic Zone (TEZ) is an example of successful collaboration between SIENIT HOLDING AD, their partners from Italy and Israel, and one of the most important industrial companies in Bulgaria - KCM 2000 AD. The project consultant is Respect Consult Ltd. - one of the leading law chambers in Bulgaria. The project combines the 6 industrial zones - Maritsa, Rakovski, Kuklen, Plovdiv Industrial Park, Tech Park Plovdiv and Agrocenter Kaloyanovo.

Since the launch of the first zone in 1996, over 200 companies have been attracted, most of which are world leaders in their field. With more than 20 years of experience, an area of 10,700,000 m², over 3 billion euros of investment and over 50,000 new jobs, we can proudly say that TEZ is the largest and most sustainable industrial area not only in Bulgaria, but also in Southeast Europe.

Thanks to the achievements of Trakia Economic Zone, the city of Plovdiv has ranked amongst the top three in the category "FDI strategy" in the ranking “European cities of the future 2018/2019 (Top 10 Small European cities of the Future 2018/2019)” of the renowned British edition “Financial Times”. Plovdiv and the region occupy the fourth place in the ranking of the global media.

The development of Trakia Economic Zone in 2014 united the Plovdiv Municipality, another 8 local municipalities and several associations. Thanks to the successful public-private partnership model, TEZ has been able to efficiently coordinate and co-operate with local and state government, educational institutions, associations and business communities.
