The aspiration of the Centre is to become the national knowledge and innovation hub for clean and circular waste and water technologies, products and service, while increasing the visibility for Bulgaria in those fields internationally. Under OP SESG all 8 partners focused on setting up the grounds of the Centre of Competence and modernizing the existing/creating new technical infrastructure and equipment needed for the full operationalization and further development of Clean&Circle, including new technologically equipped building, functioning as an ""ecological laboratory"", 2 laboratory complexes and 1 accelerator for technological entrepreneurship and transfer. The planned research and innovation activities are wrapped into three thematic Work Packages aligned with ISSS’s priorities 1/ Circular solutions in the water sector: ""Control, management and innovative technologies""; 2/ Circular solutions in the ""Waste"" sector: Using waste as resources; 3/ Technology Entrepreneurship Accelerator.
