The main objective of the Quasar Competence Center during the new programming period is to develop its research potential and upgrade its research equipment to create more scientific products with high levels of technological readiness that can be implemented on the market. The development of the application of quantum communications, which represent an extremely secure method of information exchange, is a primary task of the Quasar Competence Center. The goal for the Center is to actively participate in the process of developing secure information systems, especially in areas of critical importance, such as communication between public institutions, telecoms, banks, etc. Another important objective is the development of intelligent security systems that allow effective risk management in various areas of critical importance. These systems use various sensors, algorithms and data to detect anomalies and neutralize threats. A new objective of the project is the research and development of technologies and solutions for better adaptation to climate change. This includes establishing innovative methods for predicting adverse climate events and creating solutions to mitigate their impacts, for example through the use of green technologies.
