"The project of CCP PERIMED will be implemented by 4 partners:
- Medical University - Plovdiv (lead partner)
- Plovdiv University ""Paisii Hilendarski""
- Institute of Mineralogy and Crystallography at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences
- Perimed-2 Association (new partner)
The project will implement 3 activities:
- Research and dissemination of scientific results
- Construction and/or modernisation of research infrastructures and equipment necessary for carrying out research
- Training and mobility of researchers
The scientific programme of the project includes 10 work packages (WPs):
- Intestinal microbiome – potential for prevention of colorectal cancer. Genetic monitoring of breast cancer
- Diagnostic and prognostic genetic markers and therapeutic targets in patients with malignant myeloproliferative diseases
- Phytopharmaceutical Strategies and Biotherapists in Personalized Medicine
- Development of a complex modern methodology for specialized molecular genetic and flow cytometric monitoring of minimal residual disease in children with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia
- Causal analysis based on databases and personalized management of a critically ill patient
- Molecular biomarkers of the human microbiome
- Immunomodulation, cytotoxicity and selective antitumor activity. Immunopreparations
- Biopolymers, nanomaterials and biologically active substances
- Biocatalysis and biosensors
- Physico-chemical control of innovative pharmaceutical forms and active pharmaceutical ingredients
The expected results of the project implementation are:
- Increased capacity to carry out research in personalised medicine Protected industrial property rights, part of which through technology transfer will be realized in practice in the industry
- Improved collaboration between scientific organisations in the field of personalised diagnostics, therapy and medical care"
