"The CoE UNITe mission is to consolidate its role as leading scientific organization in Informatics & ICT and become internationally recognized for its excellence, thus reducing brain-drain and attracting talented researchers, ensuring balanced R&I development, as well as facilitating uptake of digital economy and society, regional competitiveness and growth. The work program includes 7 research work packages:
- Innovative mathematical methods and models to support digital transformation
- Data-Centric AI Applications
- Innovative methods, technologies and tools for modern technology-enhanced learning
- Bioinformatics and crisis prevention
- 3D technologies for innovative and sustainable future
- Smart and Sustainable Systems
- Cybersecurity: vulnerability analysis, prevention and protection from cyber attacks
Following the JRC recommendations, the CoE UNITe will undertake several complementary activities focused on:
- Outreach and communication with stakeholders
- Scientific events and knowledge sharing
- Knowledge valorization and stakeholders engagement
- Digital Innovation Hub collaborative platform
- Strategic HR management in research
- International networking and collaboration
- Research infrastructure management and maintenance
- Strategic organizational management
- Project management
The newly established Association CoE UNITe will support the complementary activities, and in the long-run will provide specific research management services to the partners. All partners will focus on making commercialization part of their mission, and will follow common rules for access and use of the infrastructure, and for IPR policy. They will follow the European Charter for researchers, and ensure legal framework for protection and sharing of data in compliance with EU and national laws."
