Industrial Park Sofia - Bozhurishte operates as a type A - general industrial park, which is designed with a predominantly production purpose without specialization of production activities, as a base for the development of modern and clean production. The purpose of the territories in the industrial park, according to Art. 5, para. 1 and 2 of the Industrial Parks Act (IPA), in accordance with the requirements of Art. 112 of the Spatial Planning Act (SPLA), are determined by the specialized PUP - PRZ of the industrial park (in force from March 2023):
• Industrial park for clean production activities;
• Logistics center/Intermodal terminal with connections to road and rail transport;
• High-tech park;
• Administrative and business center.
Industrial Park Sofia - Bozhurishte is a priority project of NKIZ EAD, which has already attracted 44 investors from the country and abroad in a number of sectors, including the automotive industry, high technologies, warehousing and logistics. The industrial park, with an area of approximately 3 million sq. m, offers land with a developed infrastructure for electricity supply, water supply, domestic and storm sewerage, gasification, optics. The industrial park consists of 2 parts. The first part is completed. The area is approximately 900,000 sq. m. The entire infrastructure is ready. The roads are two-lane, with sidewalks and storm water drainage. There are street lighting and fire hydrants. Roundabouts have been built to facilitate traffic. The second part, with an area of approximately 2,100,000 sq m, is under construction, with most of the territory already having road infrastructure and communication connections for electricity, water supply, domestic and storm sewerage, gasification and optics.
